Rally Ireland a Resounding Success The Irish round of the World Rally Championship proved to be a thrilling event with over 150,000 spectators taking to the lanes & byways of the Northwest to see the world's top drivers in action. Sebastian Loeb again showed his dominance on the Irish tarmac with Marcus Grondholm crashing out on special stage 4 after encountering a solid stone wall. Niall McShea won the PWRC category with a determined drive despite encountering car trouble on day one.
